worked for decades as an organizer\, director\, an
d trainer\, primarily with community groups challe
nging state violence and racial oppression in its
economic\, social\, and political forms. She is o
f counsel with Sinapi Law Associates where she rep
resents clients in employment and discrimination m
atters as well as Section 1983 police misconduct c
ases in federal and state courts. In 2021 Shannah
had the honor of being described as “public enemy
number one” by members of the Providence Police D
epartment\, the city she has called home for the p
ast forty years. She is working to become a bette
r gardener\, and family and community member while
learning about the cognitive and physical effects
of aging.

\n \nMost att endees should be able to self-report for CLE credi t to their own state bars\, and in instances where a state bar requires that the event sponsor repor t on behalf of attendees\, NPAP is happy to assist .
