Trial Tales: Lessons from a $14 Million Verdict in Dominguez v. City of New York
EVENT DESCRIPTION
In May, Scott Korenbaum and Evan Brustein won a $14 million verdict in Dominguez v. City of New York, et al. Their client, Steven Dominguez was violently assaulted by a group of officers after he was injured in a fight on New Years Eve. The case involved complex issues of medical causation, proving the severity of Mr. Dominguez's injuries, and evidence preservation. Scott and Evan will share how they overcame these challenges by picking an ideal jury, exposing officer lies, and preparing their client to provide impactful testimony on his injuries. Regardless of where you practice, you'll walk away with tactics and strategies that you can use in your next trial.
