Reimagining Justice: Expanding Accountability Across Courts, Communities, and Systems (Denver, CO)

Join us in Denver on October 22–23, 2026, for NPAP’s Fall CLE, Reimagining Justice: Expanding Accountability Across Courts, Communities, and Systems.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Police and law enforcement violence reaches across communities, institutions, and legal systems. NPAP’s Fall CLE will explore broader strategies for challenging this misconduct and expanding accountability.

Drawing on the experiences of attorneys, legal workers, and subject-matter experts from Colorado and the surrounding region, the program will examine practical litigation strategies, landmark regional cases, and approaches that members can apply in their own jurisdictions. Whether you are looking to expand your practice or strengthen your existing cases, this CLE will offer practical skills and lessons from those doing this work.

Panel topics will include:

  • Tribal Sovereignty and Policing
  • Alternatives to Police Response
  • Wrongful Conviction Cases
  • Accountability for Carceral Medical Care
  • Litigating Civil Rights Cases in State Court
  • AI & Ethics

ACCREDITATION

NPAP is a Multiple Activity Provider (MAP) with the State Bar of California and Pennsylvania, so this event is automatically accredited in California and Pennsylvania. We will also seek accreditation in Colorado and update this information once approval is confirmed.

The total CLE credit hours, including any specialty credits, will be announced once the agenda and accreditation details are finalized.

Most attendees should be able to self-report CLE credit to their own state bars, and in instances where a state bar requires that the event sponsor report on behalf of attendees, NPAP is happy to assist.

If you have any questions about accreditation, please email KG at [email protected].

RECORDING

The event will be recorded in its entirety and recordings of each panel will be available to attendees after the event. However, attendees will only be elligible for CLE credit for the portions of the event that they attended live, either in-person or virtually. Retroactive viewing of recordings will not be eligible for CLE credit, as NPAP does not have a means of validating attendee participation in this circumstance.

 FINANCIAL SUPPORT

NPAP never wants cost to be a barrier to attendance for our programming and we are happy to work with anyone interested in attending to find a means to make the program accessible. If you require financial support, please contact Re’Neisha at [email protected] for assistance.

ACCESSIBILITY

It is our priority to ensure accessibility for all attendees - please contact KG at [email protected] if you have specific inquiries regarding physical accessibility of the venue or virtual experience.
